Kohima, December 06 (NEx): Nagaland reported 39 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 06, taking the total count in the state to 11,379, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 28 cases were detected in Kohima, 05 in Dimapur, 02 each in Wokha & Tuensang and 01 each in Kiphire & Peren, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 544.
The state also reported 04 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 03 patients recovered from Kohima and 01 from Zunheboto, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,653.
39 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have detected today.
Kohima- 28, Dimapur- 5, Wokha- Tuensang- 2 each, Kiphire- Peren- 1 each.
Also, 4 +ve patients have recovered.
Kohima- 3, Zunheboto- 1.

Among the new cases detected today, 19 cases are from among the traced contacts, 12 among armed forces/ security personnel, 05 from returnees/travellers and 03 are frontline workers, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4586 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,789 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4454 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 550 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 484 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 39 active cases are mild, 14 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active case severe on oxygen, 05 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 01 is on ventilator. Also, 337 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported fifty nine (59) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 113 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
