Nagaland records 38 COVID positive cases & 95 recoveries on Sept 25

Kohima, September 25 (NEx): Nagaland reported 38 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 25, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5768, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1083.

Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 38 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 596 sample results received today. Among the new cases detected, 24 cases are detected in Dimapur, 12 in Kohima & 1 each in Mon and Wokha, informed Pangnyu.

Also, the state reported 95 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 56 recovered from Kohima, 34 from Dimapur, 3 from Peren & 2 from Kiphire, updated Pangnyu. Total recovery tally stands at 4637.

The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, issued COVID-19 bulletin and updated segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland for today. Out of the new postive cases reported in the State, 13 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 02 returnees and 23 traced contacts were tested positive for COVID-19, it said.

Out of the total positive cases in the state, 2729 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1464 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 25%, 1239 are traced contacts which is 21% of total cases and 336 front line workers which sums at 06%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1065 active cases are asymptomatic, 20 active cases mild, 04 cases moderate, 02 cases are severe and one (1) is on ventilator.

So far, the State has reported eleven (11) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and two (2) death cases are under investigation while 32 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
