Kohima, November 12 (NEx): Nagaland reported 37 new COVID-19 positive cases today, November 12, taking the total count in the state to 9,615, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today.
Among the new cases detected, 26 cases were detected in Kohima, 09 in Dimapur and 01 each in Mon & Tuensang, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 786. The Health Minister also cautioned to follow the 3 W’s: Wear Mask, Wash Hands, Watch Distance.
The state also reported 88 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 46 patients recovered from Dimapur, 38 from Kohima, 03 from Mon and 01 from Phek, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 8,683.

Also, 88 +ve patients have recovered.

Among the new cases detected today, 03 cases are from among the armed forces/ security personnel, 05 returnees/ travellers, 27 are from traced contacts and 02 front line workers.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4,091 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 45% of the total tally, 1,691 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 3,363 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 470 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 733 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 28 active cases are mild, 11 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 10 active cases are severe on oxygen, 02 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 02 active cases are on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported forty four (44) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 but are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 93 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
