Kohima, December 05 (NEx): Nagaland recorded 35 new COVID positive cases today, taking the total tally to 11,340, updated the Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Out of the new cases detected today, 34 cases were detected in Kohima and 01 in Kiphire. Active cases stands at 511 while recovery tally is at 10,649. Pangnyu also cautioned to Wear Mask, Keep Distance and Stay Safe.

Among the new cases detected today, 21 cases are from among the traced contacts, 02 among returnees/travellers and 12 are frontline workers, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4574 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,784 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4435 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 547 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 447 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 41 active cases are mild, 15 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active case severe on oxygen, 06 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 01 is on ventilator. Also, 359 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported fifty eight (58) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 112 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
