Kohima, September 19 (NEx): Nagaland reported 35 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 19, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 5392, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Active cases stands at 1206.
Taking to Twitter, Pangnyu updated that 35 new COVID-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the State out of 526 sample results received today. Among the new cases detected, 23 cases are from Dimapur, 10 in Kohima & 2 in Zunheboto, informed Pangnyu.
Phom also informed of 40 recoveries of COVID- positive patients, out of which, 28 recovered from Kohima, 10 from Dimapur & 2 from Tuensang. Total recovery tally stands at 4150.
Out of 526 results received 35 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed.
23 in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima & 2 in Zunheboto.
Also, State reports 40 recoveries of COVID-19 patients.

The Principal Secretary, Home, GoN, issued COVID-19 bulletin and updated segregated data of COVID-19 positive cases reported in Nagaland till date. Out of the total 5392 postive cases reported in the State, 12 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 04 returnees, 18 traced contacts and 01 front line worker were tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 2513 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1434 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 26%, 1121 are traced contacts which is 21% of total cases and 324 front line workers which sums at 06%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1190 active cases are asymptomatic, 14 active cases are mild and 02 cases moderate.
So far, the State has reported ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Out of this Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and three (3) death cases are under investigation while 21 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
