Kohima, December 15 (NEx): Nagaland reported 33 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 15, taking the total count in the state to 11,761, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 15 cases were detected in Kohima, 08 each in Dimapur & Mokokchung and 02 cases in Peren, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 592.
The state also reported 31 recoveries from COVID-19 today, where 25 patients recovered from Dimapur and 06 patients from Kohima, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,970. Pangnyu also cautioned all to Wear Mask, Keep Distance and Stay Safe.
33 +ve cases of # COVID-19 have detected today.
Kohima- 15, Mokokchung- Dimapur 8 each, Peren- 2.
Also, 31 +ve patients have recovered.
Dimapur- 25, Kohima- 6.
Total +ve cases- 11761
Active Cases- 592

Among the new cases detected today, 29 are from among the traced contacts and 02 among the armed forces, 01 each returnee/traveller & front line worker, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4638 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,821 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4742 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 560 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 547 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 27 active cases are mild, 13 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are severe on oxygen and 01 active case is critical in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty two (62) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 127 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
