Kohima, December 09 (NEx): Nagaland reported 29 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 09, taking the total count in the state to 11,508, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 14 cases were detected in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, 03 on Wokha and 01 in Tuensang, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 589.
The state also reported 62 recoveries from COVID-19 today where 36 patients recovered from Kohima, 17 from Dimapur and 09 from Peren, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,728. Pangnyu also cautioned all to Wear Mask, Keep Distance and Stay Safe.

Among the new cases detected today, 26 cases are from among the traced contacts, 02 among armed forces/ security personnel and 01 returnee/traveller, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4610 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,797 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4548 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 553 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 543 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 34 active cases are mild, 07 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 02 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 03 are on ventilator. Also, 305 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported sixty (60) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 121 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
