Nagaland records 252 new positive cases & 13 COVID deaths on May 22nd

Kohima, May 22 (NEx): Nagaland reported 252 COVID positive cases, 13 deaths due to COVID-19 and 214 recoveries on Saturday, May 22, 2021, the Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated.

With 252 new positive cases on Saturday, the total tally of positive cases rose to 19,845 and active cases stands at 4607, the Health Minister updated.

Out of 252 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, 137 cases were detected in Dimapur, 50 in Kohima, 17 in Mokokchung, 15 in Zunheboto, 11 in Phek, 08 in Tuensang, 06 in Wokha, 03 each in Mon & Kiphire and 01 each in Peren & Longleng, Pangnyu said.

Also, the state recorded 225 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, taking the total recovery tally in the state to 14,149.

Out of the 214 recoveries, 135 patients recovered from Dimapur, 27 from Tuensang, 19 from Kohima, 14 from Mon, 07 from Phek, 05 from Wokha, 03 from Longleng, 02 from Zunheboto and 01 each from Kiphire & Peren, the Health Minister updated.

The state also reported 13 deaths due to COVID-19 on saturday, taking the death toll to 260. Out of 13 deaths today, 10 deaths were from Dimapur, 2 from Kohima and 01 from Zunheboto district.
