Kohima, October 12 (NEx): Nagaland reported 70 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 12, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 7240, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 166 cases were detected in Dimapur, 52 in Kohima and 03 in Mokokchung, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1403.
221 +ve cases of #COVID-19 detected today.

Also, 70 patients have been recovered.

Also, the state reported 70 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 69 patients recovered from Dimapur and 01 in Longleng, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare. Total recovery tally stands at 5754.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 115 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 03 returnees and 102 traced contacts and 02 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3338 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 46% of the total tally, 1555 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 22%, 1978 are traced contacts which is 27% of total cases and 369 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1350 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 41 active cases are mild, 09 cases moderate and 03 patients are severe.
So far, the State has reported thirteen (13) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and six (6) death cases are under investigation while 59 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
