Kohima, December 14 (NEx): Nagaland reported 19 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 14, taking the total count in the state to 11,728, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 08 cases were detected in Mokokchung, 06 cases in Dimapur and 05 cases in Kohima, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 590.
The state also reported 56 recoveries from COVID-19 today, where 29 patients recovered from Kohima and 27 patients from Dimapur, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 10,939. Pangnyu also cautioned all to Wear Mask, Keep Distance and Stay Safe.

Among the new cases detected today, 18 are from among the traced contacts and 01 among the armed forces, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4636 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 40% of the total tally, 1,820 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 16%, 4713 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 559 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 551 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 26 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 02 active cases are severe on oxygen and 01 active case is critical in ICU on ventilator. Also, 329 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.
So far, the State has reported sixty two (62) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and three (3) death cases are under investigation and 127 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
