Nagaland records 14 COVID deaths & 223 positive cases on May 23rd

Kohima, May 23 (NEx): Nagaland reported 14 deaths due to COVID-19, 223 COVID positive cases and 137 recoveries on Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated.

With 223 new positive cases on Sunday, the total tally of positive cases rose to 20068 and active cases stands at 4678, the Health Minister updated.

Out of 223 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, 78 cases were detected in Kohima, 77 in Dimapur, 23 in Tuensang, 14 in Phek, 11 in Longleng, 10 in Zunheboto, 05 in Mokokchung, 03 in Mon and 02 in Kiphire, Pangnyu said.

Also, the state recorded 137 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, taking the total recovery tally in the state to 14,500.

Out of the 137 recoveries, 95 patients recovered from Dimapur, 36 from Kohima, 05 each from Tuensang & Mon and 03 each from Peren & Phek, the Health Minister updated.

The state also reported 14 deaths due to COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the death toll to 274. Out of 14 deaths today, 12 deaths were from Dimapur and 02 from Mokokchung district.
