Nagaland records 13 COVID deaths & 309 new positive cases on May 21st

Kohima, May 21 (NEx): Nagaland reported 309 COVID positive cases, 13 deaths due to COVID-19 and 225 recoveries on Friday, May 21, 2021, the Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom updated.

With 309 new positive cases on Friday, the total tally of positive cases rose to 19,593 and active cases stands at 4588, the Health Minister updated.

Out of 309 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, 122 cases were detected in Dimapur, 113 in Kohima, 22 in Phek, 15 in Mokokchunh, 12 in Wokha, 11 in Zunheboto, 09 in Tuensang, 04 in Mon and 01 in Peren, Pangnyu said.

Also, the state recorded 225 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, taking the total recovery tally in the state to 14,149.

Out of the 225 recoveries, 78 patients recovered from Kohima, 75 from Dimapur, 43 from Mon, 13 from Zunheboto, 08 from Wokha, 04 from Tuensang, 03 from Phek and 01 from Kiphire, the Health Minister updated.

The state also reported 13 deaths due to COVID-19 on Friday, taking the death toll to 247. Out of 13 deaths today, 12 deaths were from Dimapur and 01 from Phek.
