Kohima, October 04 (NEx): Nagaland reported 123 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 04, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6552, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 74 cases were detected in Dimapur, 48 in Kohima & 01 in Longleng, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1221.

Also, the state reported 51 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 40 patients recovered from Dimapur, 05 from Tuensang, 03 from Kohima, 02 from Mokokchung & 01 from Mon, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 5258.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 42 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 04 returnees, 71 traced contacts and 06 front line workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3101 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 47% of the total tally, 1523 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 24%, 1574 are traced contacts which is 24% of total cases and 354 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1176 active cases are asymptomatic, 41 active cases mild, 03 cases moderate and 01 case is severe.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and five (5) death cases are under investigation while 51 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
