Kohima, September 30 (NEx): Nagaland reported 123 new COVID-19 positive cases today, September 30, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6163, updated Addl Director, Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland today. Among the new cases detected, 37 cases are detected in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, 68 in Mon and 02 in Tuensang, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Also, the state reported 78 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 74 patients recovered from Dimapur, 01 from Kohima & 03 from Mon, updated the COVID bulletin. Total recovery tally stands at 5020.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 67 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 09 returnees and 47 traced contacts were tested positive for COVID-19, it said.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 2930 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 48% of the total tally, 1497 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 24%, 1394 are traced contacts which is 23% of total cases and 342 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1038 active cases are asymptomatic, 33 active cases are mild and 04 cases are moderate.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and five (5) death cases are under investigation while 46 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
