Kohima, October 21 (NEx): Nagaland reported 119 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 21, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 8139, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Among the new cases detected, 90 cases were detected in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, 05 in Mon and 04 in Peren, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1682.

Also, 93 +ve patients have recovered.

Also, the state reported 93 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 66 patients recovered from Kohima, 26 from Dimapur and 1 from Phek, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 6360.
Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 46 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel/security personnel, 04 returnees and 64 traced contacts and 05 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3613 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 45% of the total tally, 1617 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 2512 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 397 front line workers at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1596 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 64 active cases are mild, 16 cases are moderate on oxygen and 03 severe on oxygen and 03 patients are in critical condition in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported twenty one (22) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not COVID-19 related and one (1) death case is under investigation while 68 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
