Kohima, October 17 (NEx): Nagaland reported 112 new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, October 16, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 7604, updated Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Among the new cases detected, 64 cases were detected in Dimapur, 21 in Kohima, 20 Mokokchung, 03 in Mon, 02 in Tuensang and 01 each in Peren & Longleng, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1466.
Also, the state reported 91 recoveries from COVID-19 today, out of which, 62 patients recovered from Dimapur, 21 from Kohima and 08 from Mon, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 6046.

Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 32 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 07 returnees and 70 traced contacts and 03 frontline workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3427 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 45% of the total tally, 1593 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 2204 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 380 front line workers which sums at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1410 active cases are asymptomatic and among the symptomatic, 41 active cases are mild, 10 cases are moderate on oxygen, 03 are in critical condition in ICU with oxygen and 02 are in critical condition in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported seventeen (17) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not COVID-19 related and five (5) death cases are under investigation while 65 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
