Kohima, October 03 (NEx): Nagaland reported 111 new COVID-19 positive cases today, October 03, 2020, taking the total count in the state to 6429, updated Health Minister Pangnyu Phom. Among the new cases detected, 63 cases were detected in Kohima and 48 in Dimapur, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1150.

And 46 patients have been discharged.
Dimapur- 43, Kohima- 3.

Also, the state reported 46 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, out of which, 43 patients recovered from Dimapur and 03 from Kohima, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 5207.

Out of the new positive cases reported in the State today, 34 positive cases are among Armed Force personnel, 14 returnees, 61 traced contacts and 02 front line workers were tested positive for COVID-19, updated the daily COVID bulletin by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 3059 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is around 48% of the total tally, 1519 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 24%, 1503 are traced contacts which is 23% of total cases and 348 front line workers which sums at 05%. As per the severity of symptoms, 1102 active cases are asymptomatic, 44 active cases are mild and 04 cases are moderate.
So far, the State has reported twelve (12) deaths of COVID-19 patients. Five (5) deaths of COVID-19 patients are not due to COVID-19 and five (5) death cases are under investigation while 50 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
