Kohima, December 19 (NEx): Nagaland reported 09 new COVID-19 positive cases today, December 19, taking the total count in the state to 11,841, updated the Health department in its daily bulletin today. Among the new cases detected, 08 cases were detected in Kohima and 01 in Longleng. Active cases stands at 538.
The state also reported 25 recoveries from COVID-19 today, where 22 patients recovered from Kohima and 03 recovered from Wokha, updated the Health department. Total recovery tally stands at 11,101.
Among the new cases detected today, all 09 cases are from among the traced contacts, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4641 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,829 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4807 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 564 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 495 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 28 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are severe on oxygen and 01 active case is critical in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty three (63) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 129 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
