Kohima, December 21 (NEx): Nagaland recorded 50 recoveries from COVID-19 today, December 21 taking the total count to 11,194, where 38 patients recovered from Kohima and 06 each from Dimapur & Tuensang, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today.
The state also reported 16 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total count in the state to 11,858, updated pangnyu. Among the new cases, 09 were detected in Dimapur and 07 in Kohima, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 462.
16 +ve case of #COVID-19 have detected today.
Dimapur- 9, Kohima- 7.
Also, 50 +ve patients have recovered.
Kohima- 38, Dimapur- Tuensang- 6 each.
Total +ve cases- 11858
Active Cases- 462.

Among the new cases detected today, 14 cases are from among the traced contacts and 02 are Armed Forces/ Security personnel, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4643 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,830 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4821 are traced contacts which is 39% of total cases and 564 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 420 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 27 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 04 active cases are severe on oxygen and 01 active case is critical in ICU on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty three (63) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 129 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
