Kohima, December 26 (NEx): Nagaland recorded 02 new COVID-19 positive cases today, 01 each from Peren & Kohima, taking the total count in the state to 11,897, and 02 recoveries of COVID-19 patients from Dimapur, taking the total count to 11,415, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today.
Active cases stands at 274.
2 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected on 26/12/2020.
Kohima- Peren- 1 each.
Also, 1 +ve patients have recovered from Dimapur.
Total +ve cases- 11897

Among the new cases detected today, 01 case is from among the traced contacts and 01 from among frontline workers, updated the Health Department in its daily bulletin.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4649 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,834 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4848 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 566 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 244 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 21 active cases are mild, 05 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 02 active cases are severe on oxygen and 02 is critical in ICU and on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty eight (68) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 130 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
