Nagaland receives 150 Oxygen Concentrator from World Health Organization

Kohima, May 22 (NEx): The World Health Organization (WHO) donated 150 Oxygen Concentrator to the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

An update from H&FW Dept said that, WHO has donated 150 oxygen concentrator to Health & Family Welfare on Saturday. Dr. Shila Longkumer, CMO WHO handed over the donation to Principal Director Dr. Niekhrielie Khimiao on behalf of WHO.

The Principal Director expressed his gratitude for the good gesture and generous contribution to the department especially in this times of Pandemic when Oxygen concentrator is much needed. Further, he wishes well to WHO and extends acknowledgement on behalf of the department.

Meanwhile, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said, ‘We are extremely delighted to have received 150 Oxygen Concentrator from World Health Organization.’

‘It will be distributed on need basis to all the Districts of the State and strategic health care centres. It’s extraordinary time and we are doing all we can in this difficult times’ – Pangnyu said in a tweet.
