Nagaland Nodal Officer for COVID-19 in Chennai expresses gratitude

Kohima, May 23 (NE): Naga Christian Fellowship (NCF), Chennai, Pastor Wapangtoshi, who is also the Nagaland Nodal Officer for COVID-19 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and President of North East India Welfare Association Chennai (NEIWAC), rendered gratitude to God for the safe journey of the stranded citizens of Nagaland from Chennai. It is due to the fatherly care that our brothers and sisters have happily reached Nagaland, he said.

He expressed gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu and their dynamic officials like the Northeast nodal officers for COVID-19 SJ Chiru, IAS and Sudhan, IAS, the Government of Nagaland and it’s fantastic team for south India Nungsangwapang ACS, Mohammad Ali Shihab IAS and Manoj Kumar IPS.

Further, he thanked the Railway officials, Chennai Corporation and medical team, Team Nagaland in Chennai, NSUC, volunteers, NGOs and colleagues from NEIWAC.

The Pastor also expressed gratitude to the media and press from Nagaland for their immeasurable support extended in this extraordinary situation to Nagaland people in Chennai. It is indeed a great pleasure to see the wonderful arrangements made by the Nagaland government officials and all the concern people at the Dimapur railway station, he added.

Pastor Wapangtoshi extended heartfelt thanks to all the people for the good wishes and prayers for this special journey from Chennai to Nagaland. He wished that the prayers and good wishes be upon all the people.

The Special Train which departed from Chennai carrying stranded citizens of Nagaland on May 19, 2020, arrived yesterday at Dimapur Railway station around 6:20 pm.
