Kohima, July 09 (NEx): Nagaland recorded 60 new COVID positive cases and 86 recoveries on Friday, July 9th, 2021. Active cases stands at 975 and there were two deaths related to COVID-19 today, the health department updated.
60 new COVID-19 positive cases recorded on July 9th:
With 60 new positive cases on Friday, the total tally of positive cases stands at 25,787. Out of 60 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, 19 cases were detected in Dimapur, 11 in Mokokchung, 7 in Kohima, 5 in Zunheboto, 4 in Longleng, 3 each in Mon, Peren, Phek & Wokha and 1 each in Tuensang & Zunheboto.
86 COVID recoveries recorded on July 9th:
The state also recorded 86 recoveries on Friday, taking the total recovery tally in the state to 23,587. Out of 86 recoveries, 37 recovered from Dimapur, 15 from Kohima, 14 from Wokha, 12 from Mokokchung, 6 from Peren and 2 from Mon.

The state also reported two deaths related to COVID-19 taking the death toll to 493. Out of the two deaths, 1 each are from Kohima & Mokokchung, the HFW department updated.
