Nagaland: Health Dept. bid farewell to Principal Director Dr. Vizolie Z. Suokhrie & others

Kohima, January 30 (NEx): The Department of Health and Family Welfare held a farewell program for Principal Director Dr. Vizolie Z. Suokhrie and others on January 30, 2021 at the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DoH&FW). Along with Principal Director, the health department also bid farewell to Dr. Medemmangyang Addl. Director, DoH&FW, Smti. Kenonuo Rutsa Jt. Director (Nsg), Smti. Pratima Lama Stenographer (Grade-II).

The program was graced by Shri S. Pangnyu Phom, Hon’ble Minister H&FW Govt. of Nagaland, Shri Abhijit Sinha Home Commissioner, Government of Nagaland, Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, IAS, Principal Secretary H&FW, Govt of Nagaland and Shri Wezope Kenye Secretary H&FW Nagaland, a press release from the health department said.

Dr. Vizolie Z. Suokhrie in his farewell speech expressed gratitude to God for all the blessings and good health which enabled him to serve his tenure. He also thanked his family members for being supportive during his service in the department.

The Principal Director said that it has been a wonderful journey throughout his 35 years of service. He also mentioned that there has been challenges and criticism along the way but encouraged not to be upset when criticism comes but to learn from it. He said that criticism has been like a sharpener in his journey of service and quoted “without criticism life is very boring. It is a wonderful journey and challenges will continue but do not be discouraged and fight the challenges”.

Dr. Suokhrie further said, due to the COVID Pandemic it was very challenging but with teamwork, unity, punctuality and discipline, things were made possible and it has been a successful journey so far. Therefore, he encouraged everyone to continue the spirit of teamwork.

Voluntary speeches were also delivered by Nagaland In-Service Doctors Association (NIDA), MD NHAK, CMO & MS of districts, Nursing Association, Health & Family Welfare Department and Family, the release said.
