Nagaland govt. suspends issue of ILP and tourists’ entry to the state

Kohima, March 16 (NE): As part of precautionary measures government of Nagaland suspends issue of new Inner Line Permit (ILP) and tourists entry to the state.

A notification from govt. of Nagaland, Home Department, Political branch said, in order to prevent and control the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and as a measure of caution, in the interest of public, Government of Nagaland has decided the following;

1. Issue of New/fresh Inner Line Permits for Tourists (Domestic & Foreigners) and all other categories shall remain suspended with immediate effect until further orders.

2. The entry of any Foreign/Domestic tourist shall remain barred in the state of Nagaland from March 18, 2020 onwards until further orders.

This was stated in a notification issued by Chief Secretary, GoN, Shri Temjen Toy, today, March 16, 2020.

The decisions were taken during a high-level review meeting convened by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio in view of the Covid-19 outbreak on March 16, 2020 at his Secretariat Office, Kohima.
