Nagaland Government issues Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) for returnees to Nagaland

Kohima, May 11 (NE): Under the Chairmanship of ACS & Finance Commissioner and Convenor of the empowered group Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen, a meeting to discuss SOP for returnees to the state was held today, May 12, 2020 at the Secretariat Conference Hall.

It was decided in the meeting that for persons returning from Orange and Green zones, they will be screened and if found to be asymptomatic, they will be sent for 3 days institutional quarantine and further twelve days home quarantine, after necessary documentation and mandatory download of mobile app for COVID-19.

Also, persons from Red Zones or Crossing Red Zone areas en route to Nagaland will be screened at designated screening facility either at Dimapur or Kohima and will undergo fourteen days institutional quarantine.

Further, it was decided that all symptomatic returnees are to be isolated and tested.

The meeting also came to a conclusion that the designated point of entries for all people to enter the state by Rail or Air will only be Dimapur, and the point of entry by road will be through Dilai and Newfield check gates at Dimapur and Kuzhama check gate at Kohima.
