Kohima, March 02 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland R N Ravi took his first dose of indigenously produced Covaxin today at AIIMS, New Delhi following COVID-19 protocols, informed the PRO to Governor.

The second dose will be due after 28 days. Covaxin is absolutely safe and reliable. People have the option to choose the vaccine – Covaxin or Covishield, stated a press release from PRO to Governor on Tuesday.

‘Governor thanked the Indian scientists for this wonderful gift to humanity. When the world is in the throes of a global pandemic for the last over one year, it is a matter of pride for every Indian that our country is the Vaccine hub of the world and has brought this life saving vaccine to the needy humanity in several countries,’ the release added.

Further, the Governor expressed hope that people of Nagaland will take adequate advantage of the vaccine and help the country in defeating the COVID-19 for good.
