Nagaland Governor, Chief Minister extend Ahuna greetings

Kohima, November 14 (NEx): Nagaland Governor R.N Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended Ahuna greetings to the people of Nagaland specially to Sumi community.

Governor, R.N Ravi in his Ahuna greetings message said, ‘The beautiful festival is a significant part of our rich cultural heritage.’

‘Ahuna is celebrated in purity of body and mind, and in gratitude for a bountiful harvest. I am hopeful that the festive spirit of oneness and bonding would restore our faith and usher us towards peace and progress.’

‘This festival should make the younger generation more aware of the Sumi’s ancient rich history, philosophy of life and culture, and to foster friendship and unity among the community.’

‘I urge the Sumi community to continue demonstrating their exemplary leadership in guiding the people of Nagaland to overcome the situation we are facing today. I also appeal to the people to celebrate this beautiful festival observing all Covid-19 protocols.’

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took to twitter to extend Ahuna greetings to the Sumi community saying, ‘I wish you a successful harvest and good fortune for the coming year,’- CM Rio.
