Kohima, January 06 (NEx): Nagaland detected 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 today, January 06, 2021, where 15 cases were detected in Dimapur and 01 each in Kohima & Longleng, taking the total count to 11,954, updated Pangnyu.
Also, 12 cases were detected from among the traced contacts and 05 from among returnees/travellellers. Active cases stands at 137.
The state also recorded 22 new recoveries of COVID-19 patients today, taking the total count in the state to 11,603, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Out of the total recoveries today, 19 recoveries were from Dimapur and 03 from Kohima.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4657 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,842 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4888 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 567 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 115 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 14 active cases are mild, 05 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active cases are severe on oxygen and 03 is critical in ICU and on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported seventy (70) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 134 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
