Nagaland detected 09 new positive cases of COVID-19 on Jan 11th, tally nears 12000 mark

Kohima, January 11 (NEx): Nagaland detected 09 new positive cases of COVID-19 today, January 11, 2021, taking the total count to 11,987, updated the health minister S Pangnyu Phom. Out of which, 07 cases were detected in Kohima and 02 cases in Dimapur.

Also, 06 cases were detected from among the traced contacts, 01 each among returnees / travellers , armed forces & frontline workers. Active cases stands at 107.

Also, the state recorded 16 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, taking the total tally in the state to 11,655, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Out of the recoveries today, 05 each recovered from Kohima & Mokokchung and 03 each from Dimapur & Peren.

Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4659 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,845 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4914 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 569 front line workers at 05%.

As per the severity of symptoms, 89 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 08 active cases are mild, 06 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active case is severe on oxygen and 01 is critical in ICU with oxygen and 02 is on ventilator.

So far, the State has reported seventy four (74) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID, 01 deaths are under investigation and 140 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
