Kohima, January 07 (NEx): Nagaland detected 06 new positive cases of COVID-19 today, January 07, 2021, where 03 cases were detected in Dimapur, 02 in Kohima and 01 in Peren, taking the total count to 11,960, updated Pangnyu.
Also, 05 cases were detected from among the traced contacts and 01 from among returnees/travellers. Active cases stands at 129.
6 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected on
Dimapur- 3, Kohima- 2, Peren- 1.
Also 7 +ve patients have recovered.
Dimapur- 4, Kohima- 3.

The state also recorded 07 new recoveries of COVID-19 patients today, taking the total count in the state to 11,610, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today. Out of the total recoveries today, 04 recoveries were from Dimapur and 03 from Kohima.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4657 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,843 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4893 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 567 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 101 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 16 active cases are mild, 05 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active cases are severe on oxygen and 02 is critical in ICU with oxygen and 03 is on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported seventy two (72) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID, 02 deaths are under investigation and 137 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
