Kohima, December 31 (NEx): Nagaland detected 06 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total count in the state to 11,927, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today, December 31, 2020.
Out of the new cases detected today, 03 cases were detected in Kohima, 02 cases in Dimapur and 01 case in Mokokchung. Also, 06 cases detected today are from among the traced contacts. Active cases stands at 202.
6 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected on 31/12/2020.
Kohima- 3, Dimapur- 2, Mokokchung- 1
Also 21 +ve patients have recovered.
Dimapur- 9, Kohima- 8, Mokokchung- 4.
Total +ve cases- 11927

The state also recorded 21 recoveries of COVID-19 patients, 09 from Dimapur, 08 from Kohima and 04 from Mokokchung, taking the total count to 11,514, updated Pangnyu.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4654 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,836 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4871 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 566 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 179 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 14 active cases are mild, 04 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active cases are severe on oxygen and 04 is critical in ICU and on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty nine (69) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 132 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
