Kohima, December 29 (NEx): Nagaland detected 06 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total count in the state to 11,917, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today, December 29, 2020.
Out of the new cases detected today, 05 cases were in Dimapur and 01 case in Kohima. Also, 04 cases detected today are from among the armed forces/ security personnel, 01 among traced contacts and 01 is a returnee/ traveller. Active cases stands at 243.
6 +ve cases of #COVID-19 have been detected on 29/12/2020.
Dimapur- 5, Kohima- 1.
Also 6 +ve patients have recovered in Dimapur.

The state also recorded 06 recoveries of COVID-19 patients from Dimapur today, taking the total count to 11,464, update Pangnyu.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4653 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,836 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4862 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 566 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 219 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 16 active cases are mild, 03 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active cases are severe on oxygen and 04 is critical in ICU and on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported sixty nine (69) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 131 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
