Nagaland detected 05 new cases of COVID-19 today, January 04, 2021, tally at 11935

Kohima, January 04 (NEx): Nagaland detected 05 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total count in the state to 11,935, updated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom today, January 04, 2021.

Out of the new cases detected today, 02 cases each were detected in Kohima & Dimapur and 01 case in Mon. Also, 04 cases detected today are from among the traced contacts and 01 among armed forces/security personnel. Active cases stands at 173.

The state also recorded 09 recoveries of COVID-19 patients from Kohima, taking the total count to 11,551, updated Pangnyu.

Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4657 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 39% of the total tally, 1,836 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 15%, 4876 are traced contacts which is 41% of total cases and 566 front line workers at 05%.

As per the severity of symptoms, 148 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 17 active cases are mild, 03 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 01 active cases are severe on oxygen and 04 is critical in ICU and on ventilator.

So far, the State has reported sixty nine (69) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Ten (10) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and 132 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
