Dimapur, May 25 (NEx): The Advisor for Power, GoN, H Tovihoto Ayemi informed that the power department has decided to provide dedicated power line to all the district hospitals, COVID care centres in the State and adequate power supply to all the oxygen plants.
This was decided during a meeting convened by Advisor for Power, GoN, H Tovihoto Ayemi with the officials of the department on Monday.
Ayemi convened a meeting with the officials of the department on Monday and reviewed and accessed the crucial role of the power department during the COVID pandemic.
The Department also decided to supply adequate power to all the oxygen generating plants in the State, and assign exclusive teams of linemen and technicians on duty 24×7 to attend to emergency calls related to power in the COVID hospitals and centres.
Ayemi informed that the power department will try to ensure power stability to all the hospitals, Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres in the State.
The Advisor also emphasised that despite the lockdown, the whole workforce of the Power Department is working round the clock to ensure proper power supply.
Further, Ayemi appreciated all the department officers and staff for their dedication and hard work and urged them to continue in their commitment to serve the department and the people with the best of their abilities.
