Nagaland: Covid-19 vaccination for age-appropriate groups to begin today

Kohima, March 01 (NEx): The second phase of Covid-19 vaccination is set to begin from today, for age-appropriate groups which are high risk groups including citizens above 60 years as of January 1st, 2022 and citizens aged 45-59 as on January 1st, 2022 with comorbidities or diseases subject to certification by a registered medical practitioner.

Meanwhile, the health & family welfare department notified that the left out healthcare workers and frontline workers will continue to get the vaccine (both registered and non- registered) at all sessions.

The health department also informed that self registration for vaccination of age- appropriate groups can be done at Co-Win App, Arogya Setu App or login to cowin.gov.in, which will be available from 9:00 am, March 1st, 2021 onwards.

All beneficiaries are to carry a photo ID for registration and maintain the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour like wearing mask, sanitizing hands, maintaining physical distance of 2 metres. Beneficiaries between 45-59 years of age, will have to produce /upload a certificate of comorbidity. The vaccines will be provided free of cost at government facilities, it said.

The vaccination will be carried out from 9:00am till 5:00 pm at the following sessions;
Dimapur- District Hospital
Kohima- NHAK
Mokokchung- District Hospital
Mon- District Hospital
Phek- District Hospital
Zunheboto- District Hospital
Tuensang- District Hospital
Wokha- UPHC, Wokha Town
Peren- CHC Jalukie
Kiphire- District Hospital
Longleng- District Hospital
