Kohima, November 24 (NEx): Nagaland Covid-19 tally nears 11,000 mark as the state records 79 new positive cases today, November 24, taking the total count in the state to 10,931, as per an update from Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Among the new cases detected, 61 cases were detected in Kohima, 09 in Peren, 08 in Dimapur and 01 in Mon, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1471.
The state also reported 50 recoveries of COVID-19 patients today, out of which 41 patients recovered from Dimapur, 05 from Kohima and 02 each from Peren & Mokokchung, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 9291.

Kohima- 61, Peren- 9, Dimapur- 8, Mon- 1.
Also, 50 +ve patients have recovered.
Dimapur- 41, Kohima- 5, Peren- Mokokchung- 2 each.
Total +ve cases- 10931
Active Cases- 1471.

Among the new cases detected today, 65 cases are from among the traced contacts, 05 each among armed forces/ security personnel & front line workers, 04 are returnees/travellers.
Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4504 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 45% of the total tally, 1,758 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 4156 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 513 front line workers at 05%.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1417 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 33 active cases are mild, 10 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 03 active cases are severe on oxygen and 06 active cases are critical in ICU without oxygen and 02 are on ventilator.
So far, the State has reported fifty five (55) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Six (6) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and two (2) death cases are under investigation and 106 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
