Nagaland COVID-19 tally crosses 11000 with 69 new positive cases today, November 26, taking the total count in the state to 11,060

Kohima, November 26 (NEx): Nagaland COVID-19 tally crosses 11000 with 69 new positive cases today, November 26, taking the total count in the state to 11,060, as per an update from Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.

Among the new cases detected, 27 cases were detected in Kohima, 17 in Dimapur, 14 in Mon, 08 in Tuensang and 03 in Peren, updated Pangnyu. Active cases stands at 1400.

The state also reported 131 recoveries of COVID-19 patients today, out of which 83 patients recovered from Dimapur, 18 from Kohima, 14 from Tuensang, 14 from Mon and 03 from Phek, updated the Health Minister. Total recovery tally stands at 9488.

Among the new cases detected today, 48 cases are from among the traced contacts, 14 among armed forces/ security personnel, 05 are returnees/travellers and 02 are front line workers.

Out of the total positive cases in the state, 4533 positive cases are among the Armed Force personnel, which is 45% of the total tally, 1,765 cases are returnees/travellers accounting to 21%, 4242 are traced contacts which is 29% of total cases and 520 front line workers at 05%.

As per the severity of symptoms, 1326 active cases are asymptomatic, and among the symptomatic, 54 active cases are mild, 13 active cases are moderate on oxygen, 05 active cases are critical in ICU with oxygen and 02 are on ventilator. Also, 676 positive cases are under Home isolation in the state, the health department said.

So far, the State has reported fifty six (56) deaths of COVID-19 patients, Seven (7) deaths of COVID-19 are not related to COVID and two (2) death cases are under investigation and 107 cases of COVID-19 are migrated, informed Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Department.
