Kohima, March 18 (NEx): Nagaland has contributed Rs 28 lacs towards the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, during the world’s biggest crowdfunding campaign, stated Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on March 6, 2021.
From the North-Eastern region, Arunachal Pradesh had contributed Rs 4.5 crore, Manipur Rs 2 crore, Mizoram Rs 21 lakh, Nagaland Rs 28 lakh, and Meghalaya Rs 85 lakh during the contribution drive, said an update from Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
From the North-Eastern region of Bharat, Arunachal Pradesh have contributed INR 45 million, Manipur INR 20 million, Mizoram INR 2.1 million, Nagaland INR 2.8 million, Meghalaya INR 8.5 million, & from South, Tamil Nadu contributed INR 850 million, and Kerala INR 130 million.

The 45-day fund drive which started on January 15, 2021 for construction of the grand temple of Bhagwan Shri Ram at Ayodhya completed on February 27, 2021.
Even if the final figures are yet to come, it can be said, based on the banks’ receipts till March 4, 2021, that the contribution amount would cross INR 2500 Crores, the Trust stated.
According to national media reports, 10 Crore households in 4 lakh villages had been approached by 9 lakh volunteers, in the world’s biggest crowdfunding campaign for Ram Mandir.
