Nagaland commemorates first anniversary of Ayushman Bharat

Dimapur, September 23, (NE): Nagaland today along with rest of India commemorated first anniversary of the nationwide flagship program, Ayushman Bharat – a scheme for health by the Government of India.

For this, all the districts under Nagaland state including it’s sub divisions, etc held various programs to celebrate the day.

Districts like Longleng, Phek and Zunheboto, etc including in sub divisions, among others also held through it’s District Health Society at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall.

The Honorable Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, Shri. S. Pangnyu Phom Flagged off and participated in Walkathon to celebrate the first year Anniversary of Ayushman Bharat in Dimapur.

Speaking at the Celebration programme, Minister said; the department has extended hospital empanelment upto PHCs where 63 hospitals comprising of 59 public and 4 private hospitals have been empanelled so far and many people have benefited.

About 2 lakhs e-card has been issued, 3,340+ beneficiaries have received free and cashless med treatment. The department will continue to carry out the registration process until our target of 2.33 lakhs households is achieved. Minister also urge upon all the eligible citizens to get registered.

District Health Society Phek, in collaboration with the Line Department, commemorated the 1st year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat at the DH Conference Hall, Phek. Also organized a walkathon, DC Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS flagged off the Walkathon after the ceremonial programme.

The Longleng District Health Society commemorated the one-year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat and the launch of the Integrated Community Awareness Cum BIS Drive and Health Screening Camp at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner.
