Nagaland Chief Minister's residential office closed for 48 hours, as few persons in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex have tested positive for COVID-19

Kohima, July 30 (NEx): Nagaland Chief Minister’s residential office closed for 48 hours, as few persons in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex have tested positive for COVID-19. As a safety precaution, the Honourable Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio goes into home Quarantine.

CMO, Nagaland, through a tweet informed that few persons in the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex have tested positive for COVID-19. All SOPs are being implemented. The complex is being sanitized and the residential office closed for 48 hours.

As a safety precaution, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio is in home quarantine while strict adherence to SOPs have been put in place for primary and secondary contacts. The Chief Minister’s Office in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat is functioning normally.

Yesterday, DTF Kohima in an emergency meeting decided to seal Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat for 48 hours, in view of detection of 6 COVID positive cases among the staffs of NLA Secretariat. Also, the sixth session of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled for today has been deferred to August 13, 2020 due to certain unforseen development.
