Nagaland Chief Minister’s Office asks Power Department to fix consumer grievances on billing system

Nagaland Chief Minister’s Office, CMO has taken serious note of the complaints and grievances made by consumers on billing system of the Power Department all over the State.

In a letter addressed to the Commissioner and Secretary of Power Department, the Advisor to Chief Minister Viketol Sakhrie stated that complaints and grievances have been brought to the notice of the CMO by public and consumers that the billing and collection system of the Power Department all over the State, particularly in Kohima and Dimapur towns are far from satisfactory resulting in tremendous harassment of bonafide citizens of the State.

The CMO said that it is also reported that there could be huge leakages all over in the system. In this connection, the CMO while appreciating the efforts being made by the Department for all round improvement requested it to look into the matter on top priority and fix appropriate responsibility wherever deemed fit.
