Nagaland Chief Minister, Deputy CM extend Lao-Ong Mo greetings

Kohima, September 28 (NEx): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Patton, Minister for H&TE, TA, also Nagaland State BJP president, Temjen Imna Along, alongwith others extended greetings to the people of Nagaland, especially Konyak community on the occasion of Lao-Ong Mo festival.

Lao-Ong Mo is a post-harvest festival of Konyak community and is also known as the annual harvest festival. It is celebrated to mark its abundant harvest and thanksgiving to Almighty God.

Due to prevailing situation, the Konyak Union (KU) informed that the Lao-ong Mo festival celebration has been cancelled to further ensure that the safety and other precautionary measures relating to the ongoing circumstances is strictly adhered and followed by the public as authorized by the Government SOP. The KU also appealed all the concern citizens to observe Lao-ong Mo in their respective homes with families and loved ones and wishes everyone a Happy Lao-ong Mo.
