Nagaland celebrates Durga Puja and Chhat Puja in different dates

Dimapur, November 3 (NE): Nagaland was seen celebrating the Durga Puja and Chhat Puja in different dates according to Hindu calendars with rest of India.

In this regard, Lhomithi Colony Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee, Lhomithi Colony, Dimapur recieve first prize based on various parameters like decorations, pratima, music, puja atmosphere and discipline.

In second news, the Chhatt Puja was also celebrated with favor among hindu devotees throughout Nagaland under their celebration committees.

It was seen observing by different dates and few were also said to be observed, today on November 3 and past few days.

It is pertinent to note that the state of Nagaland, though is prominently a Christian faith; but allows to have place of workship without any hindrance as a freedom of religion unlike many persecution news coming out from other states of India time to time.
