Kohima, March 31 (NEx): A group of Nagaland BJP legislators led by Dy. CM and BJP leader Y. Patton, met with Assam’s minister and NEDA Convenor, Himanta Biswa Sarma at Guwahati on Tuesday, 30th March.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s media cell informed that the delegation had a meaningful discussion on various issues pertaining to both the states and shared visions of BJP for the progress and development of North East India under the plethora of visionary programme initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi including India’s Act East policy which will immensely benefit the region.
‘The team also thanked the people of Assam for giving opportunity to the BJP for the last five years, which has taken developments in every nook and corner of the state. While congratulating the visionary and dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and his firebrand deputy, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Minister and NEDA Convenor, for the fast track progress of the state of Assam in all fronts, the delegation also extended best wishes to the BJP in the ongoing Assembly elections and expressed hope that BJP in Assam will come back stronger with a landslide victory,’ it added.
‘The NEDA Convenor thanked the delegation for their visit and said that the goodwill mission will be seen as a good sign of unity and strength within the party in the region,’ media cell informed.
The Nagaland Dy.CM and BJP leader was accompanied by minister Kashiho Sangtam, Advisors Dr. Longrineken, Kazheto Kinimi and H. Haying.
