Kohima, March 20 (NEx): The state government on Friday allowed the opening of exhibitions, fairs, swimming pools, theatres, sports, cultural & other events outside the containment zones in Nagaland.
The Chief Secretary issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on Friday, to be followed with immediate effect for strict adherence, to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
The order stated that, exhibitions/trade fairs/fairs/swimming pools are permitted to open subject to strict adherence to the SOP for preventing the spread of COVID-19 while, Theaters/multiplexes/cinema halls are permitted to open with upto 100% of the sitting capacity subject to strict adherence to the SOP.
Further the order said that, Social/academic/sports/entertainment/ cultural/political/religious functions and congregations outside containment zone are permitted to open with upto 100% of the sitting capacity in closed spaces. In open spaces, the limit of gathering will be decided by the size of the ground or space concerned and the requirement to adherence of wearing of face masks, social distancing, thermal screening, use of hand wash or sanitizer being mandatory, it said.
For outdoor sports events, the number of spectators allowed will be upto 100% of the seating capacity of the galleries, subject to mandatory wearing of face mask, social distancing, thermal screening, use of hand wash or sanitizer.
For indoor sports events, the number of spectators allowed will be upto 100% of the sitting capacity observing all Covid-19 precautionary measures, the order said .
