Nagaland; 9 new COVID-19 positive cases reported, total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rises to 58 as on June 03, 2020

Kohima, June 03 (NE): Nagaland reported nine (9) new COVID-19 positive cases today, June 03, 2020 taking the total count in the state to 58. All new cases reported are among the returnees from Chennai.

Taking to twitter, Health Minister, Pangnyu Phom said, ‘out of 115 samples tested 9 more returnees from Chennai tested positive for COVID-19.

Among the nine new cases reported today, five (5) are male and four (4) female, while 4 tested positive from Kohima and 5 from Dimapur.

So far, there are 58 positive cases for COVID-19 reported in the State. All are cases are active as on 08:15 am, June 03, 2020.

All the COVID-19 cases reported in the state so far, are imported, from among the stranded citizens of Nagaland who returned from Chennai in a Shramik special train on May 22, 2020.

As of June 03, 2020, a total of 3157 samples have been collected for testing, out of this, 1904 test results were received and 1253 samples results are awaited.
