Nagaland: 754 Beneficiaries Vaccinated with COVISHIELD on Feb 12th

Kohima, February 13 (NEx): A total of 754 beneficiaries were vaccinated across the state on February 12, 2021, including 6710 Healthcare workers (HCWs) and 4198 Frontline workers (FLWs).

A total of 10,908 were vaccinated till date, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland.

Dr. Ritu Thurr, State Immunization Officer, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland informed that, the vaccination drive was conducted successfully across the state without any adverse events that needed medical attention.

Also, Dr. Thurr said that till date, more than 7.4 million healthcare workers and frontline workers have been vaccinated safely across the country by COVISHIELD and COVAXIN vaccines.

In an effort to speed up the vaccination process, the last date for vaccination of healthcare workers across the state is February 20, 2021, while the second dose will begin from February 15, 2021 for those who already received the first dose of vaccine, SIO informed.
