Nagaland: 570 Healthcare Workers Vaccinated across the state on Jan 27th

Kohima, January 27 (NEx): On the 8th day of vaccination in Nagaland, 570 healthcare workers were vaccinated today, January 27, 2021 with COVISHIELD vaccine across the state.

A total of 5773 Healthcare workers, including Doctors, Nurses and support staff were vaccinated across all districts in Nagaland, till date, informed Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland, today.

Dr. Ritu Thurr, State Immunization Officer, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland informed that, the vaccination drive was conducted successfully across 20 session sites without any adverse events reported and 570 healthcare workers were vaccinated.

The vaccination drive will not be conducted for next Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday on account of Polio National Immunization Day, the SIO notified.

Also, Dr. Thurr said that the COVISHIELD vaccine has gone through all phases of clinical trails and it has been found to be safe for use in general population. Till date, 20,29,480 healthcare workers have been vaccinated across the country by COVISHIELD and COVAXIN vaccines.
