Nagaland: 135 Healthcare Workers & 44 frontline workers Vaccinated on Feb 4th

Kohima, February 05 (NEx): A total of 135 healthcare workers and 44 front line workers were vaccinated on February 04, 2021 with COVISHIELD vaccine in Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren & Wokha. The 44 front line workers were vaccinated in Peren & Phek.

In total, 6203 Healthcare workers, including Doctors, Nurses and support staff were vaccinated across all districts in Nagaland, till date, informed Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland.

Dr. Ritu Thurr, State Immunization Officer, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland informed that, the vaccination drive was conducted successfully in the four districts without any adverse events reported and 179 healthcare workers were vaccinated.

Also, Dr. Thurr said that the COVISHIELD vaccine has gone through all phases of clinical trails and it has been found to be safe for use in general population. Till date 44,49,552 healthcare workers have been vaccinated across the country by COVISHIELD and COVAXIN vaccines.
